Signature Programs

An eight-week program is designed for individuals diagnosed with PD in the last five years to help you feel empowered, in control, and optimistic. Facilitated by a credentialed mental health professional.

An eight-week education and support program for those who have been living with PD for five or more years and are struggling with symptoms that make daily life harder. Facilitated by a credentialed mental health professional.

An eight-week program for care partners of people with PD, offering the opportunity to connect with other care partners for emotional support and sharing. Facilitated by a credentialed mental health professional.

Begin with PD Essentials, a clear overview of Parkinson’s disease and the support available—ideal for those who are newly diagnosed, new to APDA, or looking for a helpful refresher.

Then join movement disorder neurologists Dr. Kimmy Su and Dr. Hannah Kelly for Ask the Expert, an interactive discussion where your questions help guide the conversation about living well with Parkinson’s.

Your fundraising dollars at the South Sound Optimism Walk for Parkinson’s in Tacoma will go directly to the local community, expanding programs and services to help more people with Parkinson’s disease live life to the fullest, and funding cutting-edge research to find better treatments and ultimately a cure.
