But, did you know that you can be much better at improvising bypracticing? You can “exercise” your improvisation skills through AppliedImprovisation in APDA’s Improv for PD workshop – a free, fun, creative, laughter-filled multi-week course with others in the PD Community (people withParkinson’s, caregivers, friends & family, medical professionals, & others). Practice skills like voice modulation, volume, & clarity. Flex facial expressionsand movement through endorphin & dopamine raising fun activities. Have fun &laugh a lot in this supportive atmosphere where you can express yourselfauthentically as you Celebrate Mistakes, strengthen Presence and Acceptance,and emphasize Teamwork while Connecting with Others in your PDcommunity. This workshop is led by experienced Improv performers/ comedians/ instructors.No prior Improv or performing experience needed. Care Partners & Others arewelcome to join you in the fun! Facilitators: Daniel Maggard is a Treasure Valley local and Owner/Producer/Creative Director/Performer of Uproar Comedy. Daniel has performed in multiple Improv Troupes and Theatrical productions. He has facilitated Improv workshops for people with neurological conditions and dementia for years & is now offering these workshops live & virtually for the PD community. Jen Adams is the Owner/Producer/Creative Director of New Vaudeville Productions and The Comedy Lounge in Boise, ID. A nearly 20 year resident of the Treasure Valley, she comes from NYC. She has performed magic for royalty, stand-up comedy with legends, danced, sang & more. Jen has been a care partner for chonically-ill family & supported others in their PD journey. She is excited to focus on bringing fun as co-facilitator of the Improv for PD workshops!
