Georgia I & R Center at Morehouse School of Medicine Join our Community APDA Information & Referral Center at Morehouse School of Medicine APDA Information & Referral Center at Morehouse School of Medicine The Information & Referral (I&R) Center at Morehouse School of Medicine serves as a resource to the local community for referrals and education on Parkinson’s disease. As a part of the country’s largest grass roots organization providing the support, education, and research that will help everyone impacted by Parkinson’s disease live life to the fullest. Services provided by the APDA I&R center are as follows: Dedicated Support: The I&R Center provides essential support and resources to individuals with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners in Georgia and neighboring states, such as Tennessee and Florida. Expansion of Services: Our I&R Center has developed an all-Black Parkinson’s disease support group, addressing the specific needs and challenges faced by the African American community. We have also established additional support groups throughout the metro Atlanta area, ensuring widespread access to supportive resources. We visit senior centers, county libraries, and hospitals, to extend the reach of our services and ensure that more seniors are aware of our resources. Direct Assistance: The I&R Center receives and responds to calls from the Parkinson’s community, providing personalized guidance and resources.
