APDA Georgia’s annual research conference features leading Parkinson’s researchers sharing the latest advances in research, treatment, and care. This educational event is designed for people with Parkinson’s, care partners, families, and healthcare professionals seeking expert insights and hope for the future.


APDA PRESS ON Program (Virtual)

Tuesdays, September 15 – November 3

This special 8-week program is for people who are in the middle stages of Parkinson’s disease. PRESS ON offers the opportunity to connect with others living with Parkinson’s disease for emotional support and sharing. The group also provides education about the progression of Parkinson’s disease and planning for the future.


APDA PRESS Program (In-Person)

Tuesdays, September 22 – November 10

An eight-week education and support program for those diagnosed with PD in the last five years and their care partners. This program is conducted in a support group format. It aims to help attendees feel empowered and optimistic by providing education, emotional support, and a comfortable space to share coping strategies.


Rome Optimism Walk for Parkinson’s

Saturday, November 14

Walkers will come together nationwide in 2026 to step towards supporting all people affected by Parkinson’s disease. Your fundraising dollars at the Rome, Georgia Optimism Walk for Parkinson’s will go directly toward the local community, expanding local programs and services to help more people with Parkinson’s disease live life to the fullest, as well as fund cutting-edge research to help find better treatments and ultimately, a cure.
