Penny Westberry came to APDA in 2017 with more than 30 years of experience in human services management and organizational development. She oversees the growth and development of all APDA chapters across the country.
Prior to APDA, Penny held key leadership roles in a variety of non-profit settings, including organizations addressing youth development, maternal/child health, early care and education, and women’s health.
Most recently, Penny was with the Susan G. Komen organization as a Regional Vice President/Regional Director where she was responsible for supporting the growth and development of 27 Komen Affiliates in the Southeast Region. Penny graduated with honors from Duke University, with a dual major in psychology and Spanish, and then received her MSW at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
