Penny Westberry comes to The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) with more than 30 years of experience in human services management and organizational development. She graduated with honors from Duke University, with a dual major in psychology and Spanish, and then received her MSW at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,

At UNC, Penny focused on a combined administrative and clinical track, and completed her Masters’ thesis on participatory management. Since that time, she has held key leadership roles in a variety of non-profit settings, including organizations addressing youth development, maternal/child health, early care and education, and women’s health. Most recently, Penny has been with the Susan G. Komen organization, beginning as the Executive Director of a local Affiliate and then moving to Komen Headquarters as a Regional Vice President/Regional Director. In this role, she was responsible for supporting the growth and development of 27 Komen Affiliates in the Southeast Region. Penny is a native of New York, who now resides in South Florida.
