Scientific Advisory Board

APDA's Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) is comprised of scientists with recognized expertise relevant to Parkinson's disease and leading edge research areas.All APDA funding must meet all the following criteria set forth by the SAB: significance and impact in the field of Parkinson's; review of the appropriateness of the principal investigator and environment for the proposed project; budget and time period for completion; a primary and secondary evaluation including an in person SAB meeting concluding with a rigorous scoring process to reach recommendations. The APDA Board of Directors reviews and votes on the recommendations provided by the SAB resulting in awards to support research conceivably holding the key to therapeutic interventions, prevention, treatments and the cure.
