Join the American Parkinson Disease Association Minnesota Chapter for Planning for the Future, a live virtual program designed to help individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s gain confidence in their long-term financial planning. This session will be led by Chris McClure, a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones.
2026 APDA Duluth PD Conference
Friday, July 31
Join APDA Minnesota for a day of learning and connection in Downtown Duluth, Minnesota. This event will bring together leading experts to share their knowledge and provide valuable insights for individuals living with Parkinson’s, as well as their families and care partners.
APDA Care Partner Connection
Monday, September 14
This 8-week virtual program designed specifically for care partners of individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. This program provides education, connection, and a safe space for care partners to share experiences, learn practical strategies, and support one another while navigating the challenges of caregiving.
Care Partner Connection focuses on the unique emotional, physical, and relational aspects of caregiving, while also emphasizing self-care, resilience, and community. Participants will engage in guided discussions and educational conversations that promote understanding, confidence, and connection with others who truly understand the caregiving journey.
Minnesota Optimism Walk for Parkinson’s
Saturday, September 19
Join us for the APDA Optimism Walk! Walkers will come together nationwide in 2026 to step forward in support of all people affected by Parkinson’s disease. Your fundraising dollars at the Minnesota Optimism Walk for Parkinson’s will go directly to the local community to expand programs and services that help more people with Parkinson’s disease live life to the fullest, and to fund cutting-edge research to find better treatments and ultimately a cure.

APDA Connecting Through Art
COMING THIS FALL!
Connecting Through Art class at the YMCA – Essenta Health Wellness Center in Duluth, Minnesota. This program provides individuals with Parkinson’s Disease the opportunity to express their feelings and daily concerns through visual arts. Participants are encouraged to socialize while engaging in the art activities, which also aids in strengthening fine motor movements. This program is designed for people with PD and their care partners.
