Movement & Community Across Illinois

The APDA Partners with locations across Illinois to bring exercise classes closer to you. All classes are fully funded by APDA and offered free of charge to the Parkinson’s community. The Joy of Movement – a dance class for people with PD and their care partners. 
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm in person at First Presbyterian Church, 321 South Seventh Street, Springfield, IL  62701

Wednesdays at 10:30 am – 11:45 am online on Zoom. The instructor will gladly assist you in learning to use the zoom platform to participate in online classes.

There is no fee to participate in the class, but registration is required. Due to the progressive structure of the class, no new registrants will be accepted after the first two weeks of class. In case of inclement weather, the Joy of Movement class will follow the Springfield School District closure schedule.
