Thank you for your interest in APDA’s Voices of Parkinson’s Council
About the Council:
It is vital that whatever APDA does, we reflect the needs of people with Parkinson’s disease (PD), their care partners, and loved ones. We are assembling this Council to ensure that we incorporate your needs, perspectives, opinions, and input into all APDA programming, research, and resources.
Who We’re Looking For:
- People living with Parkinson’s disease.
- Care partners or loved ones of people living with PD.
- People from across the country, of varying ages, genders, ethnicities, and life experiences.
- People with or without prior awareness of or involvement with APDA.
- People who are willing to share their thoughts, ideas, and opinions on life with PD and APDA programming.
Commitment:
If selected for the Council, you will periodically be invited to participate in discussions and surveys as well as provide feedback on materials/programs/ideas/etc. We will always do our best to make participation convenient for you. Most opportunities will be conducted virtually via video call, phone call, or email. While we hope for robust participation from all Council members, if a particular opportunity is not convenient for you, you can decline.
Applying for the Council:
To be considered for the Council, please complete the questionnaire below so we can learn a little bit about you. We will review all applications and will contact select candidates for additional information and a screening conversation. Depending on the volume of applications, we may not be able to respond to every applicant individually. Although we may not be in touch right now, we may contact you in the future as we continue to build the Council.
Thank you!
