ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Nick Wendel, PT, DPT


Dr. Wendel is a physical therapist at the Center for Neurorehabilitation where he provides patient care and participates in research and education activities with persons with Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders. Prior to joining the Center for Neurorehabilitation, he was a senior physical therapist at Newton-Wellesley Hospital where he provided physical therapy to patients with various neurologic conditions, including Parkinson disease, stroke, concussion, multiple sclerosis and individuals with balance dysfunction. Nick has completed a residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy and is a board certified specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and recently developed an online continuing education course designed to educate physical therapists on evidence-based treatment options for people with Parkinson’s disease. He received his doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2015 and serves as a lab instructor for the neurologic coursework in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Boston University. In his free time Nick enjoys running, biking, and traveling.
