Advocating for Accessible Community Spaces

Accessible spaces in our communities are so important, but are not always available, or sometimes do not truly meet the needs of those who need them. Join the American Parkinson Disease Association and the Access Coalition for an informative webinar about making community spaces more accessible and welcoming for people with Parkinson’s disease and others with disabilities.

In this webinar, you will learn about the Access Coalition’s new resources for inclusive design, including practical tools that help businesses and organizations create spaces that are easier for everyone to use and enjoy. You’ll also hear from a panel of Access Coalition leaders and members of the Parkinson’s community as they discuss how accessible design can improve everyday experiences, support independence, and benefit both individuals and businesses.

The panel will share ways people with Parkinson’s disease can use their personal experiences and stories to advocate for positive changes in their communities. Whether you are interested in improving access in local businesses, community organizations, or public spaces, this webinar will provide information, tools, and inspiration to help you make your voice heard.

A live question-and-answer session will follow the presentation and panel discussion, so please register today and bring your questions about access and inclusive design!
