Fall Programs

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy 

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:15 pm, October 1 – November 14. Registration is required; please call Tricia Creel at 636.778.3377. Small group cognitive stimulation program for people with mild to moderate memory and thinking problems. Participants will need to complete a screen (can be done over the phone) to confirm that they qualify for the program. We will also offer training for the care partners of registered participants so they can continue working on cognitive stimulation activities at home. This program will be held at the APDA Resource Center.

Driving Retirement Workshop

Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:00, October 30 – November 20. Registration is required; please call Tricia Creel at 636.778.3377. The person with Parkinson disease must still be actively driving and must bring an “accountability partner” (family or close friend) with them to the workshop. The workshop will cover: (a) How Parkinson’s can affect driving and signs of unsafe driving, (b) Options to assess safety with driving, (c) Local transportation options, and (d) Creating a personalized retirement plan. The workshop will be held at the APDA Resource Center.
