Patient Aid Join our Community NEW – Patient Aid Programs During these challenging times, the American Parkinson Disease Association is here for you. APDA offers 2 NEW Patient Aid programs designed to provide financial support to people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and their families. The COVID-19 Patient Assistance Program, just announced in a Press Release, and the APDA Georgia Chapter Patient Aid Scholarship Program. Read below for details and applications for each program. Applications are taken on a first-come basis. Click the link below to complete the application. COVID-19 Assistance Program Who is eligible? People with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease or Parkinsonism who are in need of financial assistance and who reside in the community, not in a rehabilitation center or long-term care facility. Submit completed application and acquired documentation to Emily Ciorciari at: eciorciari@apdaparkinson.org The Georgia Chapter Patient Scholarship Program Approved applicants will be eligible to be granted up to $300.00 once per calendar year (January – December). Funds are limited and will be awarded on a first come basis. This Patient Aid Scholarship Program is intended for individuals with PD in need of financial assistance for physical therapy and/or occupational therapy. This program is designed to aid people living with PD life a more active and positive lifestyle by preventing accidents such as falls and helping them to live safely at home.
